First day of the Walt Ride will be from Red Wing to Smithville, MO.
Kickstands UP from Caribou in Red Wing at 8am (they open at 5:30am). Be fed and fueled by 8am!
Then we go west through Northfield, then south. It's a long and boring stretch down I-35 to Smithville. Oh well. We'll stop for gas, eats, etc. but I hope that we can make it to Smithville before 7pm. That's when Motorcyclecloseouts.com closes, and I've got a list of things to try on.
Smithville is a pretty typical small midwestern town; food options include pizza, fast food and chinese. I suggest we just order something to be delivered to the hotel, and bring our own booze. The hotel should have soda vending machines and ice.
